Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mechanical Design Engineer located in Pune. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical products and systems, creating detailed 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks software, and working closely with other engineering teams to ensure design specifications are met. Daily tasks include conducting feasibility studies, testing prototypes, and participating in design reviews to ensure the reliability and performance of the products.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

1 to 4 years

Mandatory Skills and Competencies

Hands-on experience in designing Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) and automation.

Expertise includes conceptualisation, 3D modelling, simulation, and the generation of manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.

Job Description 

• Interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks & AutoCAD
• Update and revise designs as per requirements
• Prepare BOMs and maintain drawing records
• Coordinate with Production, QC, and vendors for design clarifications
• Support quality inspections and trial runs
