Mechanical Design Engineer

Role:- The Sr. Manager / AGM – Mechanical Engineering (Design) will be responsible for leading and managing all mechanical

design activities for genset-based EPC power projects.

This role requires a highly experienced design professional with deep expertise in mechanical systems design, equipment

engineering, and EPC project execution. The incumbent will drive design excellence, ensure compliance with standards,

manage cross-functional coordination, and support projects from concept to commissioning.

Qualifications:- B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience 18-20 years of overall experience in mechanical design within EPC / power / industrial projects.

Industry Experience:-

• Strong experience in mechanical design engineering for power plants, gensets, or industrial

systems.

• Proven track record of leading mechanical design teams and handling large-scale EPC projects.

• Deep understanding of piping systems, thermal systems, rotating equipment, and plant layout

engineering.

Additional Requirements:-

• Strong expertise in mechanical design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.

• In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, IS, etc.).

• Experience in vendor engineering, technical evaluations, and drawing approvals.

• Ability to drive design optimization, cost efficiency, and value engineering initiatives.

• Strong exposure to multidisciplinary coordination (Electrical, Civil, Procurement, Execution).

• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to handle multiple projects and tight timelines in EPC environment.

• The ideal candidate will be a seasoned mechanical design leader with extensive experience in EPC power projects, capable of managing end-to-end design functions.

• The candidate should have strong technical depth along with leadership capability to drive engineering excellence and team performance.

• This role is best suited for professionals who have worked with power generation companies, EPC firms, or industrial engineering organizations and possess strong design, execution interface, and problem-solving capabilities.
