Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description
-Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for
conveyors and material handling equipment.
Create 2D drawings and 3D models using design software such as AutoCAD,
SolidEdge , SolidWorks, Inventor, or Catia.
Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials), technical documentation, and design reports.
Collaborate with electrical and automation teams for integrated design solutions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client
specifications.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for fabrication feasibility, costing, and
material availability.
Support manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning activities.
Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and continuous improvements.
Provide technical support in resolving design and production-related issues.
Key Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and
GD&T.
Proficiency in SolidWorks /Solid Edge/ Inventor / Catia / AutoCAD.
Experience in sheet metal design, fabrication, machining, and welding processes.
Understanding of conveyor systems, material handling equipment, or special
purpose machines (SPMs).
Knowledge of design standards and safety compliance.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in conveyors, material
- handling, or the manufacturing industry.
