Elevate workplace safety as an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist. Utilize your expertise to support compliance, coach staff, and enhance a strong safety culture in diverse environments. In this role, you will drive the continuous improvement of an established Occupational Health and Safety program.
Collaborate closely with department leaders and staff to implement procedures, conduct inspections, and provide expert guidance on best practices. Your contributions will be crucial in ensuring a safe working environment and mitigating risks. Key Responsibilities: • Provide expert advice and coaching on OHS program improvement • Develop and implement OHS standards and procedures • Conduct hazard assessments and incident investigations • Participate in training and monitor compliance gaps • Support audits of the OHS Management System Requirements: • Post-secondary certificate in OHS or related field • Minimum 4 years of OHS experience, preferably public sector • Knowledge of Alberta OHS Act and regulations • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools • Strong analytical and communication skills Utilize your OHS expertise to foster safer workplaces and enhance employee well-being through effective safety practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr
