This Role
This is a performance-driven role with full ownership of the sales process.
From the initial inspection through signed agreement and deposit collection, you are responsible for guiding the homeowner, presenting solutions clearly, and driving revenue.
Cloud9 Roofing is building its sales team across the Kansas City metro on both the Kansas and Missouri side. We are looking for individuals who can produce and want to be part of a growing operation.
If you have experience in in-home sales such as roofing, solar, windows, HVAC, baths, pest, or alarms, you already understand the model.

How the Role Works
You will operate in a hybrid role:
- Running appointments set by the field marketing team
- Generating your own opportunities through door knocking
Door knocking is a required part of this role. Top performers do both.
To earn consistent company-provided opportunities, you will be expected to generate a baseline level of self-generated revenue.
What You’ll Do
Insurance projects:
- Run the initial inspection
- Drive the homeowner decision process
- Sign contingency agreement and assist with claim process
- Gather scope of work
- Sign customer contracts
- Collect deposits
Out-of-pocket projects:
- Run the inspection
- Drive the decision and secure agreement
- Finalize contracts and financing
Across all jobs:
- Present scope, materials, timelines, and pricing clearly
- Follow up with urgency to move projects forward
- Track pipeline and activity in the CRM
- Deliver a clean handoff to operations
You are responsible for turning opportunity into revenue.
Compensation
Compensation is tied directly to revenue generated and your level of ownership in each project.
Full-cycle deals you generate and run:
- 10 percent to 14 percent of total job value
- From initial door knock through signed agreement and deposit collection
Breakdown:
- 6 percent to 8 percent for running the inspection, driving the sale, and securing the project
- Additional 4 percent to 6 percent for self-generated opportunities through door knocking
Company-provided opportunities:
- 6 percent to 8 percent of total job value
Payout timing:
- Commission is earned when projects are installed
Commission percentages are higher on out of pocket projects!
Estimated annual earnings: $80,000 to $250,000+

Requirements
- 18 or older with valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to walk properties and perform inspections
- Comfortable using phone, tablet, CRM, texting, and calling
- Professional appearance and communication
Independent Contractor Status
This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not W-2 employment.
Independent contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, licensing where applicable, and business expenses.
