Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.br //ppThis contract position requires a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support a special private school located in Queensbury, NY, approximately 45 minutes north of Albany. The school serves students with severe cognitive disabilities and complex behavioral needs. Most students use alternative communication methods (AAC) and are non-verbal, with some requiring pediatric dysphagia support./ppKey Responsibilities:/pulliProvide comprehensive speech-language pathology services tailored to students with severe disabilities and complex communication needs/liliDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing speech, language, and feeding/swallowing goals/liliCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and healthcare professionals, to support student progress/liliSupervise Clinical Fellows (CFs) as needed, offering guidance and mentorship/liliMaintain documentation and ensure compliance with New York State education regulations/li/ulpQualifications:/pulliCurrent NYS Teaching Certificate as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped is required/liliOpen to Clinical Fellows with provided supervision/liliExperience or interest in pediatric dysphagia preferred/liliAbility to work effectively with students who use AAC devices and methods/li/ulpLocation:/pulliQueensbury, NY (contract role; year-round school calendar)/li/ulpThis role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a specialized educational environment.
