Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities :


  • Follow the centralized approach for preparation of Cost Sheet, MIS Development, building Compliances & Controls in all Factories.
  • Preparation of periodical budgets and reviewing reports of Budget Vs Actuals for the plant; using budgetary controls to prevent overspending & take corrective steps.
  • Analyze variances and communicates explanations to management with recommended actions
  • Must work across organization boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant, country, or corporate objectives
  • Provides proactive / unsolicited consultation, interpretation, and commercial acumen on financial and operational matters to various plant and operations team to support business decisions
  • Collaborates with Plant Manager, Plant accountants and senior supply chain team to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations, and lead the development of complex analysis
  • Ensures proper accounting in accordance with Accounting Principles as well as local statutory requirements
  • Support in cost run in SAP every month and provide variance explanations
  • Manage month-end closing for plant operations including inventory valuations, COGS reconciliation and overheads analysis
  • Manage entire 3 P / 2 P vendors from reconciliation, accounting, operational and financial issues resolution.
  • Provide accurate and timely information about the plants financial performance in the form of financial reports
  • Support the Taxation Manager on representation to be made to the tax authorities at Plant locations.
  • Coordinate and support the statutory and internal audit process of BCCL for operations
  • Support in Commercial negotiations with supplier and 3P/2P vendors.
  • Monitor and implement plant internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks
  • Responsible for verification of Stock statement / Valuation and reconciliation of book stocks with physical stocks
  • Regular scrutiny of Creditors ledger, conducting reconciliation of accounts & rectifying / settling differences in balances


Experience Required :


6- 10 years of relevant experience in finance department of a plant (FMCG/Consumer Care Industry), with at least 4 years of experience in a managerial position
