Job Description: Windchill Administrator

Location: Remote/Contract

Role Summary

Seeking a Windchill Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize the Windchill PLM environment. This role will act as the primary system engineer, ensuring system stability, performance, and user support.

Key Responsibilities

Start/stop and administer Windchill production & test environments

Manage Windchill, Creo, and NX license servers

Monitor system health, logs, and alerts proactively

Manage workflow queues, publishing queues, and CAD worker configurations

Perform system tuning as per PTC best practices

Apply patches, clean cache/unreferenced files, and maintain system performance

Run WinDU, monitor DB health, support DB restore, and analyze performance

Manage users, roles, access control, and system configurations (OIR, attributes, indexing)

Troubleshoot queue failures, CAD integrations, and access issues

Provide user support and mentoring to IT/engineering teams

Governance

Conduct bi-weekly stakeholder meetings for status and issue tracking

Maintain ticket tracking system for incidents and requests

Requirements

Experience in Windchill administration

Knowledge of Creo/NX integration

Understanding of PLM workflows, system monitoring, and DB concepts

Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
