Product Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

·      Develop a thorough understanding of pre-formulations, prototyping, and product development across various formats

·      Strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in at least a couple of the mentioned categories are essential

·      Innovate and conceptualize disruptive ideas within relevant categories, building a vibrant New Product Development (NPD) pipeline based on consumer insights and category challenges

·      Lead in pilot plant and plant-level scale-up activities, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production

·      Document the product development pathway through detailed reports and dossiers.

·      Collaborate and coordinate with various functions including Innovation/Design Team, Marketing, supply chain and external academic partners

·      Utilize wet and instrumental analysis techniques to characterize and predict product behaviour over time

·      Follow and understand protocols/test methods to measure both functional and aesthetic performance

·      Analyze and evaluate competitor products to identify potential opportunities for innovation

·      Navigate the challenges of demonstrating strong innovative capabilities within the category by quickly spotting product opportunities and defining rapid development roadmaps

·      Demonstrate innovative capabilities and build a robust NPD pipeline

·      Identify product opportunities based on consumer insights and develop rapid product development strategies

·      Ensure all formulations meet Regulatory standards

·      Manage clinical trials and consumer testing for scientific product claims.
