Production Set Designer / Art Director – Social Media Shoots

Role Overview We are looking for a Set Designer / Art Director with 4–5 years of experience in creating physical sets, props and shoot environments for short-form and social media video content. We are specifically looking for someone who can conceptualise and execute on-ground production sets for shoots including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, branded content, influencer videos and digital campaigns.

The ideal candidate should have experience translating scripts and creative ideas into practical, visually engaging shoot setups that can be executed quickly and cost-effectively. Key Responsibilities Understand scripts, briefs and creative concepts and translate them into relevant set designs and shoot environments. Conceptualise and create sets, props, décor, furniture placement and styling for social media video shoots.

Develop mood boards, reference decks and rough layouts for production setups. Source props, décor elements, furniture, fabrics, branding materials and other set requirements. Work closely with the Creative, Production and Content teams to ensure the set aligns with the tone and objective of the content.

Supervise set installation and dismantling on shoot days. Coordinate with vendors, carpenters, prop suppliers, printers, fabricators and rental agencies. Ensure all set requirements are executed within the assigned budgets and timelines.

Create multiple looks and variations for high-volume content shoots. Maintain and organise an inventory of props and reusable set materials. Support quick turnaround projects and adapt to changes in scripts or shoot requirements.

Strong understanding of physical set creation for video shoots. Prior experience working on digital-first, social media or short-form content.

Ability to create attractive setups within practical timelines and budgets. Good eye for colour, space, styling, composition and visual detailing. Strong vendor management and sourcing skills.

Hands-on and execution-oriented approach. Ability to multitask and work across multiple shoot requirements simultaneously. Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency or production environment.

Basic understanding of shoot production, camera framing and lighting is preferred. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Set Design, Production Design, Fine Arts or related field. 4–5 years of relevant work experience. Portfolio showcasing physical sets, shoot environments, props and styling work is mandatory.
