Project Manager / Estimator

Project Manager / EstimatorSalary Range: $75,000 – $90,000Position OverviewThis is a dual Project Manager / Estimator role for someone who wants full ownership of their work—from bidding projects to managing execution in the field. You will estimate your own jobs and manage them through completion, working closely with subcontractors and superintendents while leading teams in the field.Key Responsibilities:Estimating

• Perform commercial construction takeoffs and prepare competitive bids
• Heavy Excel use and estimating software
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Manage fast‑paced bid days with multiple inputs and deadlines

Project Management

• Manage projects you estimate from start to finish
• Coordinate and oversee approximately 10–15 subcontractors per job
• Lead projects involving 20–30 people at a time
• Turn jobs over to superintendents and provide ongoing support
• Assist with purchase orders, materials, and inventory planning

Leadership

• Act as a hands‑on leader across multiple active projects
• Support superintendents with planning, materials, and execution
• Maintain accountability for schedules, quality, and job profitability

Required Experience:

• Commercial construction experience (field, estimating, or project management)
  • 2–3 years for a trainable candidate or
  • 7+ years for a more experienced professional
• Strong understanding of takeoffs, bidding, and job costing
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness to work hard in a hands‑on, fast‑moving environment
