Job Description

Working Location: Site Based – West SumbawaWorking Schedule: Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)

Some of your duties will include:Responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling project schedules for large-scale mining projects, including infrastructure, processing plants, utilities, and supporting facilities.Ensures project activities are planned efficiently, progress is monitored accurately, risks are identified early, and corrective actions are implemented to ensure project delivery on time and within scope.Collaborates closely with engineering, procurement, construction (EPC/EPCM contractors), project controls, and operations teams to ensure schedule integration across all project phases from concept, feasibility, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and handoverAble to develop integrated project schedules across all phases—engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start‑up—prepare Level 1–4 schedules based on project complexity, establish a scope‑aligned Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and identify critical path activities and schedule risks.

Project Planning & Scheduling• Develop integrated project schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.• Prepare Level 1–4 project schedules in accordance with project complexity.• Establish Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) aligned with project scope.• Identify critical path activities and schedule risks.

Schedule Monitoring & Control• Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.• Conduct schedule performance analysis including critical path review and variance analysis.• Prepare recovery schedules when delays occur.

Coordination with Engineering & Construction• Coordinate with engineering teams to integrate design deliverables into project schedules.• Align procurement material delivery schedules with construction activities.• Collaborate with construction teams to validate realistic sequencing.

Project Progress Reporting• Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports.• Develop schedule dashboards highlighting milestones, progress vs baseline, and mitigation plans.

Risk & Change Management• Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies.• Support change management by assessing schedule impacts of scope changes.• Conduct scenario analysis for alternative execution strategies.

Contractor Schedule Management• Review and validate EPC/EPCM contractor schedules.• Monitor contractor performance against agreed project timelines.

Project Controls Integration• Integrate planning activities with cost control, risk management, and progress measurement.• Support project forecasting and completion analysis.

Continuous Improvement• Develop planning standards, templates, and best practices.• Support improvement of planning systems and project control tools

What skills and experience do you need?

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Mining, Electrical) or Project ManagementMinimum 10–15 years of experience in experience in project planning and scheduling with at least 5 years' experience in similar role as Senior Planner in mineral processing plants, mining infrastructure, smelters, or large construction projects preferred.Hold an operational inspector certificate or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of positions; poses relevant technical inspector certificateCertifications (Preferred); PMP (Project Management Professional); PSP – Planning & Scheduling Professional (AACE); Primavera P6 CertificationPossesses advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, with a solid understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) and Earned Value Management (EVM), experience in schedule risk analysis and project control reporting, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and project execution plans.Requires strong communication, conflict‑resolution, leadership, critical‑thinking, and time‑management skills, including the ability to listen effectively, manage conflicts constructively, delegate tasks, and guide a diverse team within a supportive work environment. It also demands the ability to develop structured problem‑solving processes, balance heavy workloads under time constraints, and manage both projects and personnel efficientlyDemonstrates strong leadership by building trust, resolving conflicts effectively, fostering collaboration, driving team results, inspiring and developing others, leading organizational change, showing empathy, and making sound decisions aligned with organizational goalsExcellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate
