You As a Mental Health Specialist Will Do Develop, implement, and evaluate employee wellbeing and mental health initiatives, including awareness campaigns, annual events, education materials, and employee resource promotion. Enhance and promote employee access to mental health supports through intranet channels, internal communications, and employee-facing materials, and maintain and enhance resources including employee playbooks, toolkits, intranet content and printed materials for psychological health & safety. Design and facilitate psychological health and safety training, including in-person workshops and e‑learning modules across the organization.

Maintain, evaluate and promote policies, procedures, and operational tools that integrate psychological health and safety into daily work, such as within onboarding materials, procedural guidelines and crisis response resources. Liaise with national teams across the organization to support all aspects of psychological health and safety principles, including People & Culture, Health, Safety & Environment, Legal, Operations and Inclusive Diversity. Provide expertise and support during workplace crises and critical incidents, including employee support, crisis communications, debriefing coordination, and follow‑up guidance.

Manage and report on psychological health and safety data, including incident tracking, trend analysis, and leadership reporting. Maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry organizations (e.g., EAP provider, MHCC, IHSA, CCSC). Provide short‑term, non‑clinical support and resource navigation for employees, and coaching for people leaders.

Is this the right role for you? Salary Range: $90,000–$110,000 Background in psychology, organizational health, public health, counselling, social work, occupational health and safety, or a related field. Experience in workplace mental health, employee wellbeing, and psychological health and safety.

Workplace mental health facilitation and presentation skills including experience providing training and coaching, and knowledge of adult learning principles. Experience navigating crisis response and providing critical incident support.Experience managing data, with the ability to evaluate programs and initiatives, and create detailed data reports for senior leadership. Ability to travel nationally to support different business areas as required.

Knowledge of psychological health and safety frameworks and psychosocial risk assessments, such as the Canadian National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace or equivalent. Experience working in complex, operational, or multi‑site environments with collective bargaining agreements. Certification or specialized training in psychological health and safety and organizational health.

Prior organizational health consulting experience, or equivalent. Prior work experience within the construction industry, or similar corporate environments. Certification or specialized training in suicide prevention, substance use management and/or fit for duty.
