Qa/ Qc Engineer (civil)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quality Engineer with 7+ years of experience in high-rise residential and commercial projects using Mivan (Aluminium Formwork) technology .

The candidate must possess strong hands-on expertise in RCC structural works and finishing activities , with specialized experience in Mivan construction quality control including formwork alignment, repetition cycle control, structural tolerances, and concrete performance monitoring.

The role involves leading end-to-end QA/QC implementation at site, ensuring strict adherence to IS standards , approved drawings, and specifications, while aligning site quality systems with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements .

The candidate should be capable of independently identifying execution gaps and confidently recommending corrective and preventive measures directly to the Director and Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities

RCC / Structural Quality Control (Mivan Specialization)

• Monitor RCC works including footing, raft, columns, beams, slabs, shear walls, and core walls.
• Conduct detailed Mivan shuttering inspections – alignment, line-level-plumb accuracy, pin & wedge locking, kicker levels, joint sealing.
• Verify reinforcement as per drawings, BBS, cover blocks, lap lengths, and spacing.
• Supervise concrete pouring activities including:
• Slump testing
• Cube sampling & testing
• Pour sequencing
• Cold joint prevention
• Ensure structural tolerances as per approved standards.
• Monitor cycle time quality in repetitive Mivan floors.

Finishing Works Quality Control

• Supervise plastering, tiling, flooring, waterproofing, painting, façade works, and false ceilings.
• Inspect door & window installations for alignment and finish quality.
• Monitor waterproofing execution in toilets, terraces, podiums, and basements.
• Ensure aesthetic and workmanship standards in completed units.
• Conduct pre-handover quality inspections

ISO-Based QA/QC Implementation

The candidate must have practical working experience in implementing and maintaining:

• ISO 9001 – Quality Management System
• ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System
• ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management System

Responsibilities include:

• Implement site-level QA/QC systems aligned with ISO standards.
• Prepare and maintain:
• Inspection Checklists
• ITP (Inspection & Test Plans)
• Quality Reports
• NCR documentation
• CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions)
• Conduct internal quality audits.
• Ensure environmental compliance and safety quality coordination.
• Participate in management review meetings.
• Maintain documentation control and traceability.

General QA/QC Leadership

• Identify non-conformances and execution gaps.
• Recommend corrective & preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Consultants, and Contractors.
• Present quality observations and improvement strategies directly to Director / Senior Management.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes, RERA guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous quality improvement culture at site.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Indian Standards (IS Codes).

Required Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech – Civil Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in high-rise Mivan projects
• Strong hands-on Mivan formwork quality inspection experience
• Experience in ISO documentation and internal audits
• Strong knowledge of IS Codes & structural standards
• Excellent reporting and communication skills
• Ability to independently lead site quality function
