Quality Inspector – Medical Device Manufacturing

Location: Longmont, CO

Work Environment: Cleanroom

Pay: $22 - 27/hr, depending on experience

shifts Available:

  • Weekday Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM ( 10% shift differential)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to support medical device manufacturing in a regulated cleanroom environment. This role is responsible for performing incoming, in‑process, and final inspections to ensure products meet all regulatory, quality, and engineering specifications. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience in GMP environments, and proficiency using precision measuring tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections of medical devices and components

  • Conduct visual and functional inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process

  • Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, gauges, calipers, and microscopes to verify specifications and tolerances

  • Follow established GMP, FDA, ISO , and documentation requirements

  • Adhere to inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality standards

  • Identify, document, and report defects or non‑conformities; partner with production and quality teams to resolve issues

  • Perform final quality checks prior to product release and shipment

  • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection and testing records

  • Assist with root cause analysis , corrective actions, and preventive actions (CAPA)

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to improve product quality and processes

  • Assist with training team members on quality procedures, inspection methods, and documentation practices

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of FDA regulations, GMP , and ISO 13485:2016 standards

  • Proficiency using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

  • High attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and non‑conformities

  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality control methodologies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, regulated environment

Physical & Work Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Fine motor skills (ability to handle small, delicate components)

  • Ability to lift, bend, or move up to 20 pounds

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Longmont, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
