Role Description - QMA

The Head – Quality Management System (QMS) is responsible for establishing, leading, and continuously enhancing a robust, risk-based Quality Management framework that ensures regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and sustainable business growth.

This role provides strategic and operational leadership across the entire product lifecycle—from supplier qualification and raw material control through manufacturing, testing, release, and post-market surveillance. The incumbent will serve as the organization’s primary authority on GMP, ISO compliance, audit readiness, quality governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The position requires strong cross-functional leadership, regulatory expertise, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to embed a proactive quality culture throughout the organization.

• QMS Strategy & Design: Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) strategy that aligns technical quality standards with core business objectives.

• Process Governance: Establish and maintain robust quality policies, SOPs, and Master Manufacturing Documents to ensure consistency across the production lifecycle.

• Regulatory & GMP Stewardship: Guarantee full compliance with ISO and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), serving as the primary lead for regulatory inspections and audits.

• End-to-End Quality Monitoring: Oversee rigorous inspection and testing protocols for raw materials and finished products to ensure zero-defect delivery.

• CAPA & Root Cause Leadership: Lead cross-functional investigations into quality deviations, utilizing root cause analysis to execute effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

• Audit Management: Orchestrate internal and process audits to verify compliance, mitigate operational risks, and identify systemic gaps.

• Data-Driven Optimization: Analyze quality performance metrics and KPIs to identify trends and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure a unified, quality-first approach to manufacturing.

• Quality Culture & Training: Drive organizational excellence by providing technical training and mentorship to production staff on evolving quality standards.

• Executive Reporting: Prepare and present transparent quality performance reports and risk assessments to senior leadership.

• Cross-Functional Quality Advocacy: Partner with R&D, Production, and Regulatory Affairs to foster a unified, quality-centric culture and ensure seamless product transitions.

• Executive Reporting: Update senior management regularly with clear reports on quality performance and any risks they should know about.
