As an RN in the Emergency Department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care to a diverse population, often in high-pressure situations.
Provide Expert Emergency Care in a Fast-Paced Freestanding ER
As an Emergency Department RN, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans, including medication administration, wound care, and IV therapy.
- Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and perform diagnostic procedures.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team meetings.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members.
- Quality Improvement:
- Adhere to all regulatory standards and hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and data collection.
- Identify and report adverse events and near-misses.
- Education:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Licensure:
- Valid Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care emergency department experience required.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Shift:
- Night Shift
