Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient - Level I Job Type: Staffing Job Category: Clinical - Nursing - Travel Department: Rehabilitation Unit Start Date: 01/06/2025 End Date: 04/07/2025 Location: Saint Paul, MN Schedule: 32 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, every other weekend (Night shifts) Job Description: Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for the Inpatient Level I position within the Rehabilitation Unit. This role is responsible for providing family-centered nursing care to patients, assisting with health maintenance, disease prevention, and navigating the healthcare system. You will be responsible for delivering patient care that is aligned with their developmental, emotional, cultural, and medical needs.
The position requires working with a diverse patient population, including individuals with short- and long-term disabilities beginning in childhood. In this role, you will join a specialized team to care for patients with complex and challenging conditions. You will be expected to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring exceptional communication and teamwork to provide coordinated, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver family-centered nursing care, tailored to the individual needs of patients and their families. Advise patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention. Provide skilled assistance in navigating the healthcare system.
Work within a coordinated, team-based environment to provide comprehensive care for complex conditions. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Skills & Qualifications: Required: Completion of a professional nursing program (RN program).
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required for nurses working in PICU, peri-anesthesia, and Infusion Center).
Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required for nurses in Peri Anesthesia). Ability to work with individuals with short- and long-term disabilities starting in childhood. Physical ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including participation in the off-premise call schedule (in certain departments).
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related healthcare field. Previous nursing experience in a healthcare setting. Relevant nursing specialty certification.

Documentation of completion of an accredited nursing program. Compensation: Maximum hourly rate: $68.00 USD Additional Information: 8-hour shifts with night shifts every other weekend.
