Registered Respiratory Therapist

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will be pivotal in providing both facility-based and home-based respiratory care aligned with our commitment to high-quality patient outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment across our network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, home health agencies, and hospice agencies, delivering specialized respiratory care and treatments to patients with varying respiratory conditions.

Assessing patient respiratory function and analyzing diagnostic tests to determine respiratory care needs. Administering treatments such as aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and oxygen therapy. Managing ventilators and artificial airway devices for patients who cannot breathe normally on their own.

Monitoring and recording the progress of treatment and adjusting it as necessary. Educating patients and families on respiratory health and ongoing care plans. Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to tailor and implement comprehensive care plans.

Maintaining patient safety and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Proficient in using modern respiratory care equipment and technology Strong analytical and diagnostic skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Must be a certified Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Valid state license as a Respiratory Therapist.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred.
