Respiratory Therapist, Registered

Sanford Health, a premier health system operating extensive medical facilities across multiple states, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. This position is critical in providing essential respiratory care and treatment to patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders at our state-of-the-art clinics and hospitals. As part of our respiratory team, you will work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.

Assess and interview patients to determine the appropriate testing and treatment. Conduct diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity and analyzing blood samples to determine the concentration of oxygen and other gases. Manage ventilators and artificial airway devices for patients who cannot breathe normally on their own.

Educate patients and their families on lung health and maintenance regimes. Implement patient care plans and collaborate with healthcare teams to assess and adjust treatments. Monitor and record patients’ progress and adjust treatments as necessary.

Proficient in pulmonary function and cardiopulmonary testing. Ability to operate complex medical equipment safely and effectively. Strong analytical skills to diagnose and treat patients effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with both patients and healthcare teams. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
