RN-Clinical Informatics Specialist

Albany Medical Center, a leading integrated healthcare system, is seeking a dedicated RN-Clinical Informatics Specialist to enhance the integration of advanced clinical practices and technology. This role involves applying your clinical knowledge alongside informatic principles to optimize patient care and outcomes through better use of information technology. The successful candidate will be a pivotal figure in evolving our digital healthcare landscape, driving innovations through data analysis and clinical knowledge to improve patient care efficiencies and outcomes.

Analyzing and interpreting complex datasets to improve patient outcomes. Implementing and optimizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other clinical software. Training healthcare staff on new technology systems and updates.

Developing protocols and guidelines to enhance clinical processes. Collaborating with IT and clinical teams to ensure smooth integration of technology in patient care. Conducting research to support health IT innovations and initiatives.

Maintaining compliance with relevant health care laws, policies, and regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in EHR software and IT systems relevant to health care.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative research. Knowledgeable in healthcare compliance and privacy laws.

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Certification in Health Informatics, such as from the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), is preferred.
