Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in the Northern suburbs of Denver, this smaller public school district offers a supportive environment serving approximately 7,000 students across 16 sites. They welcome both new graduates and experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and provide a clear, two-step interview process designed to identify the best candidates for their diverse student population.
Position Overview:This full-time (37.5 hours/week) role is based at Achieve Academy, serving K-8 students with mild to severe speech needs in a center-based classroom setting, including approximately 15 moderate to severe and 25 mild to moderate students. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, documenting service notes, providing direct speech therapy services, and managing caseloads for students whose IEPs include speech-only services. Speech therapy minutes are scheduled monthly, allowing for consistent and impactful intervention.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification (SLP or SLP-CF) with eligibility or attainment of Colorado Department of Education (CDE) credentials; candidates must provide proof of current CDE credentials or status of application.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply; supervision is available for Clinical Fellows.
- Experience working with K-8 students, particularly in moderate to severe needs settings, is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage evaluations, service delivery, and case management.
- Commitment to full-time contract work within the school setting.
- Note: Candidates holding VOCO or Hybrid licenses, SLPA certification, or nursing credentials are not accepted.
Interview Process:
- Initial 15-30 minute screening with the Director of Integrated Services via Teams.
- Second stage is a 30-45 minute panel interview, preferably in person but flexible arrangements can be made.
