Senior Accountant

<p>Join a leading organization as a Senior Accountant, responsible for managing financial operations across multiple communities in Connecticut. This roleoffersa competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000, plus a 10% annual bonus target and great benefits. The role provides a blend of remote work and onsite visits, fostering strong relationships with community personnel while supporting financial accuracy and compliance.</p><p><strong>Key Details</strong></p><ul><li>This role involves traveling to the organization's properties within Connecticut for two weeks during each month<li>The time not visiting properties can be worked remotely, with the exception of an annual meeting in Waltham, MA<li>Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel.</ul><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Manage day-to-day accounting and month-end close processes for assigned communities.<li>Prepare and review monthly financial packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance.<li>Reconcile complex accounts such as real estate taxes and expenses.<li>Provide training and ongoing support to community personnel on financial procedures and reporting.<li>Maintain detailed work papers and support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.<li>Conduct financial reviews and coordinate with community staff to gather necessary data.<li>Visit communities periodically to build relationships and provide financial training.</ul><p><strong>Credentials</strong></p><ul><li>Valid accounting or finance degree from an accredited college or university.<li>At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.</ul><p><strong>Required Skills & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel<li>Experience with accounting, billing, and payroll software (e.g., accounting software, ADP)<li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment</ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working with real estate or senior living communities is a plus<li>Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance procedures<li>Ability to handle complex financial analysis and reconciliations</ul>PandoLogic.
