Role Summary

The Senior Copywriter is responsible for leading the development of high-quality, strategic, and insight-driven content across platforms, ensuring alignment with the brand’s voice, tone, and overall marketing objectives. This role goes beyond execution to include conceptual thinking, campaign ideation, and mentoring junior writers. The Senior Copywriter will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful communication that drives engagement, brand recall, and business outcomes while maintaining operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities


1. Brand Strategy & Alignment

  • Deeply understand and interpret briefs, translating business objectives into compelling communication strategies.
  • Act as a custodian of the brand’s voice, tone, and messaging guidelines across all content.
  • Contribute to the evolution and refinement of brand narratives and positioning.


2. Creative Concepting & Content Leadership

  • Lead the development of creative concepts, big campaign ideas, and messaging frameworks.
  • Translate marketing strategies into innovative and impactful content across platforms.
  • Ensure all content reflects strong storytelling, originality, and strategic thinking.


3. Advanced Copywriting

  • Write high-impact, persuasive, and engaging copy across formats, including but not limited to:
  • Integrated campaigns
  • Digital and social media content
  • Website and landing pages
  • Brand films and scripts
  • Emailers and CRM communication
  • Blogs, articles, and long-form content
  • Adapt tone and messaging across different audiences, platforms, and campaign objectives.


4. Review, Editing & Quality Control

  • Review, edit, and refine copy developed by junior team members to ensure quality, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Maintain high standards of grammar, clarity, and storytelling across all deliverables.
  • Provide constructive feedback and direction to improve overall team output.


5. Research & Insights

  • Leverage consumer insights, cultural trends, and market research to inform content strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in communication.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging platforms, and content best practices.


6. Team Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Collaborate with designers, strategists, account managers, and marketing teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Mentor and guide junior copywriters, ensuring skill development and consistency in output.
  • Act as a key point of contact for content-related decisions within projects.


7. Project & Time Management

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to timelines and internal TATs.
  • Take ownership of deliverables from brief to final execution.
  • Proactively flag risks, dependencies, and delays.


8. Operations & Process Excellence

  • Ensure adherence to internal SOPs, workflows, and quality benchmarks.
  • Contribute to improving content processes, templates, and efficiencies.
  • Maintain documentation and version control for all content deliverables.
