Senior/ Finance manager (REIT/ MAS report)

The Senior Finance Manager will lead the full spectrum of financial management activities for a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). This critical role encompasses financial reporting, consolidation, taxation, budgeting, financial planning & analysis, compliance, and financing matters. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and regulatory compliance of the REIT.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & AnalysisOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the REIT, including consolidated accounts, variance analysis, and periodic management reporting.Prepare statutory financial statements, accounting papers, and announcements (Quarterly Business Updates, Half Year Results, Annual Reports).Conduct in-depth financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to support strategic decision-making and business growth.Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing actionable insights to senior management.Compliance & RegulatoryEnsure strict compliance with SGX reporting requirements, MAS regulations for REITs, internal controls, and accounting standards.Stay abreast of changes in regulatory frameworks and accounting standards, assessing their impact on the REIT and implementing necessary adjustments.Maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.Audit, Tax & FinancingManage external audit processes, acting as the primary liaison with auditors, tax agents, and trustees.Oversee taxation matters, ensuring accurate and timely tax filings and optimizing tax strategies where applicable.Support financing matters, including debt management, capital structuring, and liaison with financial institutions.

Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) is highly preferred.Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within the Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) sector or real estate industry.Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/SFRS), SGX reporting requirements, and MAS regulations for REITs.Excellent financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders, external auditors, tax agents, and trustees.Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and compliance matters.
