Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Machine Building & Automation

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with deep expertise in machine building, machinery, machining processes, SolidWorks design, and Allen-Bradley controls systems . This is a senior-level role that combines hands-on manufacturing engineering, process optimization, and automation , with opportunities for career growth within the engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of experience in custom machine design and production , a strong technical background, and a proven ability to lead projects from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing engineering initiatives for custom machinery projects, ensuring designs are optimized for production, assembly, and automation.
• Develop SolidWorks models and drawings for mechanical systems, components, and assemblies with high precision and manufacturability.
• Oversee machining and fabrication processes including CNC milling, turning, welding, and assembly.
• Design, program, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMI systems within machine builds.
• Collaborate with production, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery .
• Conduct process improvements, root-cause analysis, and testing to increase efficiency, reliability, and product quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, supporting professional growth and process standardization.
• Contribute to the long-term development of the engineering team and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field ( preferred ).
• 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, machine building, or custom automation projects. ( preferred)
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Hands-on experience with machining and fabrication processes (CNC milling, turning, welding, assembly).
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI programming, and automation systems .
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Interest in career growth within the engineering team and taking on increasing responsibilities.
