Become a vital Senior Access to Information and Privacy Officer. Utilize your legal expertise to navigate FIPPA obligations and enhance privacy management while working in a hybrid model. In this pivotal role, you will ensure compliance with privacy regulations and provide strategic oversight for access to information matters.
Your experience with legal analysis, privacy complaints, and high-stakes negotiations will enable you to guide teams effectively. Collaborating with executives and conducting privacy impact assessments will ensure best practices are implemented across the organization. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze and respond to freedom of information requests • Manage high-risk privacy complaints and breaches • Conduct mediations and represent in OIPC hearings • Advise on FIPPA interpretation and application • Develop and deliver in-house training on privacy governance Requirements: • Law degree with 5+ years of related experience • Practicing member of the local Law Society • IAPP certification or equivalent is an asset • Strong legal research and writing skills • Proven communication and negotiation abilities Elevate privacy practices and influence organizational compliance by leveraging your extensive legal knowledge and strategic insight. #J-18808-Ljbffr
