firstPRO 360 is seeking a Staff Accountant for a full-time opportunity in Duluth, Georgia. General duties include: AP/AR overview, posting and making adjusting journal entries, month-end close, bank and account reconciliations, financial reporting, financial statement preparation, research and analysis. Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills are required, as well as prior use of an ERP system such as QuickBooks, Oracle/NetSuite, or Great Plains is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage overview of accounts payable and receivables processing
• Examine accounting records for the entire department, checking for accuracy
• Maintenance of the general ledger (and subledgers), including the posting and adjusting of journal entries
• Act as a key player in the month-end close process
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor accounts
• Prepare financial statements for reporting to upper leadership
• Conduct research and analysis relating to projects in relation to routine audit

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field
• 2+ years' experience in a full cycle accounting role
• GAAP background
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Team-player, ability to work well with other departments and individuals
