Your Responsibilities: Maintain fixed asset system for accounting, processing and reporting of the assets Check for completeness and accuracy of fixed assets sub ledger and month-end closing activities such as account reconciliations, journal entries and adjustments Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed Collaborate with team members to monitor asset disposals and movements Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation Performs variance analysis Prepares monthly journal entries and general ledger reconciliations Assists in projects and leases as needed Assists in year-end audit Identifies, communicates and performs accounting best practices Other duties as assigned You Must Have: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance 1+ year of relevant experience Demonstrate experience with Accounting principles and practices with GAAP Strong attention to detail and accuracy Problem solver mindset Communicate effectively through written and oral methods in a courteous, professional and timely manner Effective and efficient time management skills Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel) Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills-forward thinker We Would Also Like: Fixed asset experience preferred Theanticipatedannual salary range for this position is $50,000 - 58,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just onecomponentof Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employees.
