Staff Nurse - 12 Hour Shift (home Care)

The Staff Nurse (12-hour shift) will provide professional nursing care to patients at home during scheduled duty hours. The role involves clinical monitoring, medication administration, wound care, and coordination with supervising physicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications (oral, IM, IV as applicable)
• Monitor vital signs and document readings
• Perform wound dressing and maintain sterile technique
• Manage IV lines, injections, and basic nursing procedures
• Assist in post-operative monitoring and care
• Observe and report changes in patient condition
• Identify early signs of complications such as infection, respiratory distress, or hemodynamic instability
• Escalate medical concerns promptly to supervising doctor
• Maintain accurate nursing charts
• Record medication administration and patient observations
• Ensure proper handover documentation at shift completion
• Maintain hygiene and infection control standards within the home environment
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of biomedical waste (as applicable)

Communication

• Coordinate with family members regarding patient needs
• Provide clear updates to supervising medical team

Qualifications

• GNM or BSc Nursing
• Valid Nursing Council Registration
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience
