Supervisor Conveyor

To supervise and execute conveyor maintenance activities including inspection, repair, belt splicing, and replacement to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of conveyor systems within the fixed plant, supporting production targets and operational continuity.

Some of your duties will include:A. Maintenance Execution Supervise day-to-day execution of Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of conveyor systems; Belt conveyor (overland & plant), pulley, idler, take-up system, drive unitEnsure maintenance activities are completed safely, on time, and to quality standardsPerform field verification of work execution and job completionB. Belt Splicing & Replacement SupervisionSupervise conveyor belt splicing activities: Hot splicing, Cold splicingMonitor belt replacement work including alignment, tensioning, and trackingEnsure all splicing work meets OEM and quality standardsC. Equipment Reliability & PerformanceMonitor conveyor performance and identify abnormalitiesAssist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) of failuresSupport implementation of corrective and preventive actionsEnsure conveyor availability meets operational targetsD. Planning & Shutdown ExecutionSupport Superintendent and Planner in: Weekly maintenance scheduling, Shutdown preparation and executionEnsure readiness of: Manpower, Tools & equipment, Spare partsExecute shutdown activities according to plan and sequenceE. Contractor & Workforce SupervisionSupervise contractor activities related to: Belt splicing, Conveyor maintenanceEnsure contractor compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standardsMonitor and evaluate contractor performance on-site

F. Safety, Health & Environment (HSE)Enforce compliance with: SOP, JSA, Permit to Work; LOTO and high-risk work proceduresConduct toolbox meetings and ensure hazard identificationStop unsafe work and ensure corrective actions are implementedPromote strong safety culture within the team

G. Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate closely with: Operations / Production team; Mechanical, Electrical, and Planning teams; Ensure smooth execution of maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production

H. Spare Parts & Material ControlMonitor usage of conveyor spare partsEnsure availability of critical consumables: Belt, idler, pulley, fasteners, splicing materialsProvide input for spare parts requirement and stock planning

I. Reporting & DocumentationPrepare daily and weekly reports covering: Maintenance activities; Equipment status; Downtime and issuesUpdate maintenance data in CMMS (SAP / Maximo / Pronto)Ensure documentation accuracy and completenessWhat skills and experience do you need?Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical Engineering (preferred); Electrical / Mechatronics (acceptable)Have 8 years of working experiences in conveyor maintenance within large process plants such as mining, mineral processing, heavy industry; At least have 3-5 years’ experience in Supervisory role as Supervisor - ConveyorStrong knowledge of Belt conveyor systems and components; Belt tracking, alignment, and tensioning; Pulley, idler, and drive systemsHands-on experience in conveyor maintenance, belt splicing and replacement, hot & cold splicing, conveyor troubleshootingFamiliar with Preventive & predictive maintenance; Root Cause Analysis (RCA); CMMS systems (SAP / Maximo / Pronto)Certification (Preferred): K3 / Occupational Health & Safety Certification; LOTO Certification; Working at Height Certification; Conveyor Belt Splicing Certification (preferred); SMKP / ISO 45001 awarenessStrong leadership, team coordination and supervision; Good planning, organizational & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high-pressure environment; Effective communication and work productively with internal and external individuals; Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; High attention to detail, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Continuous improvement mindset; Safety leadership and compliance.Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
