Tax Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to deliver expert financial advice and a high standard of service to a portfolio of accounting clients, primarily consisting of small to medium-sized owner-managed businesses.Client DetailsAn established mid tier firm with reach across the Northwest.DescriptionManage and maintain a portfolio of clients, ensuring a high level of serviceMonitor job progress against timelines and billing targetsTrack and manage key deadlines to ensure timely delivery of workPrepare statutory accounts for limited companiesComplete self-assessment tax returns accurately and efficientlyPrepare corporation tax computations and submit returnsBuild and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and colleaguesEnsure full compliance with relevant financial regulations and standardsUtilise accounting software such as IRIS, Sage, Dext, and Xero effectivelyDeliver work to a consistently high standard within agreed deadlinesRespond to client queries promptly and professionallySupport and mentor colleagues and trainees, providing technical guidance where neededCarry out additional duties as required, in line with the responsibilities of the roleProfileA successful Tax Specialist should have:A strong background in tax within the professional services industry.Relevant qualifications in tax or accountancy.
