At our Concord, Ohio facility, you will play a crucial role in upholding the highest standards of animal welfare working under the guidance of our Attending Veterinarian. /ppIn this vital position you will be responsible for the clinical, preventative and surgical care of our research animals, ensuring their well-being and health. Your contributions will be instrumental in providing veterinary guidance and expertise to groundbreaking research projects, consulting and collaborating with investigators and assisting with facility management./ppMoreover, you will be a key player in ensuring compliance with federal regulations and international standards, contributing to our commitment to excellence. Your role will also involve providing essential training to our staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. /ppIf you are passionate about animal welfare and eager to contribute to innovative research, we invite you to join our team and help us achieve our mission of advancing scientific discovery while maintaining the highest ethical standards/pp  /ppstrongKey Responsibilities/strong/pulliClinical Care: providing comprehensive clinical, preventative, surgical care and ensuring the overall well-being of the animals. /liliAssist composition and refinement of living documents applicable to Animal Care and Use Program. /liliCompliance: Ensuring compliance with federal regulations and international standards/guidelines related to animal welfare. /liliMaintaining compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). /liliAssist with preparation and submission of all reports to proper agencies to maintain compliance with the law and keep current accreditation status. /liliProvide technical and scientific expertise to departmental scientists and technicians. /liliMaintain Personal Documentation Record (curriculum vitae, job description, training record). /liliParticipation in Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). /liliReview of proposal and protocol design for management and IACUC. /liliCommunication: Maintaining effective communication throughout the establishment regarding animal welfare and associated concerns. Including fostering an environment where staff feel confident to communicate animal welfare concerns and ensuring that communication is open and transparent. /liliMaintain and facilitate communication with the Attending Veterinarian, Study Directors, Sponsors, and management as to the status of studies. /liliAdhere to corporate and departmental Environmental and Occupational Safety policies. /liliFacilitate cooperation between Drug Safety and other Frontage operating units. /liliOther responsibilities/duties as assigned. /li/ulpstrongEducation, skills, and experience/strong/pulliRequires a D.V.M. or V.M.D. degree with 3 years of related experience preferably in a laboratory animal environment /liliSurgical experience: highly desirable. /liliExperience with husbandry practices and environmental enrichment plans for small and large research animals /liliResearch experience with broad knowledge of animal models: preferred/liliExperience with GLP regulations and compliance: desirable. /liliExcellent communication, interpersonal, collaborative communication style, and professional writing.  /liliKnowledge with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and compliance/liliKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Systems is desirable.  /liliMaintain professional competence through continuing education. /li/ulp  /ppstrong Who we are amp; what we offer/strong/pulliFrontage is publicly traded and an award winning CRO with over 20 locations across North America and Asia and growing.
