Rang De is a social investing platform that connects citizens with entrepreneurs, farmers, and artisans across India who need access to affordable credit. We believe that ordinary people can be the force behind extraordinary change, and that social investing is one of the most powerful tools for reducing inequality.

Over eighteen years, we have built a platform, a community, and a body of work around citizen capital and financial inclusion. We now want to take this to a significantly larger audience and build the growth engine that creates a movement of social investors.

Role

We are looking for a VP, Growth & Audience to own and drive Rang De's top-of-funnel growth — bringing new audiences into the social investing movement and building the discovery engine that makes Rang De impossible to ignore.

This is a senior leadership role that sits at the intersection of strategy, distribution, partnerships, and narrative. You will work closely with the founding team, VP, Content, and the Product team to build a coordinated growth system , not scattered marketing activity.

Key Responsibilities

Own the Growth Strategy

  • Design and lead Rang De's top-of-funnel growth strategy - identifying the discovery channels, partnerships, and distribution engines that will bring new audiences into the ecosystem.
  • Set audience growth targets and build the roadmap to achieve them across a 12 to 18 month horizon.
  • Track and analyse discovery metrics — traffic sources, partnership performance, audience growth, and conversion from awareness to first investment.
  • Continuously experiment with new channels and approaches, and build the learning systems that make experimentation compound over time.

Build Discovery Engines That Scale

  • Identify and build multiple discovery engines — media and narrative, strategic partnerships, cultural programming, and creator ecosystems — so that growth does not depend on any single channel.
  • Build the infrastructure for evergreen discovery — content, SEO, partnerships, and platforms that bring compounding traffic over time.

Build Strategic Partnerships and Distribution

  • Identify and build partnerships with communities, institutions, and networks whose audiences align with Rang De's mission.
  • Design co-branded campaigns, community investment drives, and partnership activations that bring new investors into the Rang De ecosystem.

Drive Cultural Programming and Presence

  • Work with the team to build Rang De's presence in cultural moments, public conversations, and community spaces that are relevant to our audience.
  • Support the design and expansion of flagship discovery properties such as the Social Investors Forum, city chapters, and investor circles.
  • Help position Rang De not just as a platform, but as the leading voice of the social investing movement in India.

Work Across the Funnel

  • Collaborate closely with the product team, which owns conversion, to ensure that top-of-funnel traffic translates into first investments.
  • Work with the community and investor support teams — whose engagement of existing investors feeds capital mobilisation — to identify advocacy and referral loops that drive new discovery.
  • Ensure that growth initiatives are coordinated across discovery, conversion, and community rather than operating in silos.

Lead and Build the Growth Function

  • Build and lead the growth function at Rang De — hiring, developing, and managing a high-performing team over time.
  • Act as a thought partner to the founding team on audience strategy, market positioning, and growth priorities.
  • Bring a data-informed approach to growth — setting clear metrics, building dashboards, and making decisions based on evidence rather than intuition alone.

Eligibility

You are a growth leader with a strong distribution instinct and a genuine belief in the power of mission-driven platforms. You understand that social investing is not an impulse behaviour, people discover the idea, build trust, and then act. Your job is to engineer that journey at scale.

  • 12 or more years of experience in growth, audience development, partnerships, or marketing leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of building discovery and distribution engines — not just running campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of how narrative, media, and content can be systematically distributed to reach new audiences.
  • Experience building strategic partnerships that create structured, repeatable distribution — not just one-off collaborations.
  • Comfortable operating at both a strategic and executional level — you can set the direction and roll up your sleeves.
  • Data-driven mindset — you set targets, track metrics, and optimise based on evidence.
  • Experience in mission-driven, social impact, or purpose-led organisations is a strong advantage.
  • Deep interest in financial inclusion, inequality, or citizen capital in India.

What this role is not

  • This is not a performance marketing role focused on paid acquisition.
  • This is not a role for someone who will run Instagram campaigns and call it growth.
  • This is a role for a strategic growth leader who can build the systems, partnerships, and distribution engines that make Rang De's mission reach the people who need to hear it — and who is excited by the challenge of growing a movement, not just a platform.
