Job Description The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for safety, quality, and resource scheduling for regional warehouse operations. In addition, the incumbent should use his/her ability to influence and persuade multiple stakeholders to reach consensus on a wide range of process‑related matters. Responsibilities Oversees and manages multiple warehouse teams to ensure the successful delivery and availability of material to support projects to completion.
This includes directing the day‑to‑day activities of warehouse teams to support project milestones and goals Manage, and is accountable for, costs and efficiency of warehouses through the development of operational objectives Assists in or develops the operating budget by reviewing work requirements, schedules and costs reports to ensure the business unit meets or exceeds defined targets, schedules and budgets Establishes project plan for projects at hand, in conjunction with project team, by defining scope of work and deliverables Ensure operational readiness in terms of team member resourcing, skills and processes that will ensure our ability to successfully meet the expectations of AFL’s customers and business growth strategies Provides expertise in planning and scheduling across a region by collaboratively working with project teams to identify sequence of key activities Mentors, guides and coaches direct reports to expand their capabilities by adhering to human resources processes and procedures involving: on‑boarding, performance management reviews, recruitment activities, training, succession planning, transfers, promotions and salary increases Ensure all projects are well executed in accordance with corporate goals and contractual requirements Maintains strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and clients to ensure client needs are met and ensure future business opportunities Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned Enhancing Organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL Ensure all safety inspections are completed per EHS requirements. Personal Qualities Leadership – direct others and develops the ability of others to perform and contribute to the organization by providing ongoing feedback and by providing opportunities to learn through formal and informal methods Flexible – open to change/new information and rapidly adapts to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles Detail oriented – excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow through on assigned tasks Independent – ability to work well under limited supervision Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving – capable of complex reasoning analysis Results focused – driven to achieve Interpersonal skills – able to collaborate on projects, maintain effective relationships, and communicate clearly at all levels of the business Adaptability – capable of working in a fast‑paced environment, adapt to various situations, and prioritize multiple work assignments simultaneously Qualifications 5+ years related operational or management experience in a similar direct managerial/supervisory role with demonstrated ability to successfully lead a high‑performing team and build solid long‑term relationships with external clients and consultants Ability to understand and achieve fiscal targets and scope of work with proven success in forecasting and managing budgets and minimizing risk implications in client and sub contracts Ability to act as a mentor and skilled arbitrator with multiple stakeholders (including executive level management) in extremely complex or critical situations and ensure business outcomes are achieved Expert knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Ability to travel to various site‑based projects if required Working Conditions Hybrid warehouse – office environment. General hours of Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
