Job Overview
MyStayInn UK Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, invoicing, financial record management, and supporting the finance function to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
This role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, experience with cloud-based accounting software, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Prepare and issue customer invoices and track payments.
Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
Record daily financial transactions in Xero.
Assist with monthly financial reports and account reconciliations.
Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue payments.
Maintain organised financial documentation and records.
Support the preparation of financial data for accountants and auditors.
Assist with VAT records and compliance requirements where necessary.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance roles.
Hands-on experience with Xero accounting software.
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
Preferred Skills
Experience working in SMEs or hospitality/property management businesses.
Knowledge of UK VAT regulations and financial compliance.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
