If you value flexibility, innovation, and a growth mindset, this is the place to be. Our mission is to help financial institutions meet their regulatory obligations with confidence, clarity, and speed. We ingest, process, and enrich vast volumes of complex, high-variance data from hundreds of brokers, data providers and other sources of information across the US and beyond. The scale, diversity, and importance of this data creates unique technical challenges and opportunities.
The COMPLY Data Platform is a strategic initiative at the heart of this mission. It underpins everything from our broker feed ingestion and security master to advanced analytics, AI-driven insights, and future regulatory technologies. We’re building something foundational, and we’re doing it with a modern, cloud-native architecture that’s designed to scale.
We're looking for a Data Analyst to join our team to help ensure the reliability, accuracy, and timeliness of this critical data. The Role: As a Data Analyst within the DataOps team, you will support the reliable delivery of COMPLY’s data products by investigating data issues, responding to data-related questions, and contributing to data-focused projects. This role is hands-on and operational, sitting close to the data and the teams that rely on it.
You will work with analysts, managers, engineers, and customer-facing teams to diagnose data issues, understand root causes, and help ensure accurate, timely, and well-understood data. Key Responsibilities: Data Support & Investigation: Investigate data-related queries and issues raised by internal teams such as Customer Experience, Customer Support, and Product. Analyze datasets to identify discrepancies, anomalies, or data quality issues.
Document findings clearly, including suspected causes, impact, and recommended next steps. Escalate complex or systemic issues to senior analysts or the Data Analyst Manager as appropriate. Collaboration & Communication: Work with senior analysts and the Data Analyst Manager to understand priorities and investigative approaches.
Collaborate with Data Engineering and other teams when issues require pipeline or platform changes. Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders about issue progress and outcomes. Data Projects & Continuous Improvement: Contribute to data-focused projects such as data quality checks, reconciliation efforts, and documentation improvements.
Use existing tooling, dashboards, and queries to support investigations and service delivery. Build or extend queries, analyses, or lightweight tooling where appropriate, under guidance. Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation, or workflows and raise them with the team.
Operational Excellence: Follow established workflows for issue intake, triage, investigation, and escalation. Maintain accurate notes, tickets, and documentation related to investigations. Develop a strong understanding of COMPLY’s data products, sources, and operational processes.
Essential Criteria: Experience in a data analyst, data operations, or data support role in an enterprise or SaaS environment. Working knowledge of SQL, and experience analyzing structured datasets. Experience scripting in a common language such as Powershell or Python.
Familiarity with analytical data platforms or query engines (e.g. Athena, BigQuery, or similar). Basic understanding of ETL concepts and data pipelines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when working with incomplete or messy data. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation with support. Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn, take feedback, and develop technical and operational expertise. Desirable Criteria: Familiarity with data quality concepts or data governance practices. Background in financial services or exposure to trading, securities, or regulatory data.
What We Offer: A hands-on role at the core of COMPLY’s data support and delivery function. The opportunity to build deep understanding of complex, real-world data systems. Close collaboration with experienced analysts, managers, and data engineers.
A supportive environment that values learning, clarity, and continuous improvement. Clear progression paths as the DataOps function continues to grow.
