Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager having 15+ years of building scalable software with at least 5 years of engineering management experience. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise across cloud infrastructure, preferably in the ecommerce domain. The role requires a strong balance of managing high-performing engineering teams while also being deeply hands-on in technology strategy, architecture, solution design, and delivery.

Engineering leadership & team management

· Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering teams across backend and frontend

· Drive engineering excellence, coding standards, and best practices across teams.

· Oversee sprint planning, on-time execution, delivery, and production stability of the technology platforms.

· Collaborate closely with Product, Business, and Operations groups to translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions.

· Own engineering KPIs including performance, quality, reliability, and security compliance.

· Manage team structure, resource planning, performance management, hiring, and capability building.

· Drive modernization initiatives such as microservices, event-driven architecture, API-first development, cloud adoption, and CI/CD automation.

· Lead troubleshooting complex production issues and ensure long-term systemic fixes.

Required Skills & Experience

Key skills & Experience :

· Strong cloud architecture experience preferably on GCS.

· Strong experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.

· Hands on experience working with caches like Redis.

· Hands-on expertise in architecture, distributed systems, scalable application design, and modern software design patterns.

· Experience with microservices, event-driven systems, RESTful APIs, and observability platforms.

· Proven experience driving engineering roadmaps and cross-functional collaboration.
