Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Lead with at least 5 years of professional experience to oversee financial operations, financial planning, and team management. This role is responsible for building financial models, forecasting P&L performance, ensuring financial compliance, and driving profitability through disciplined expense management. The Finance Lead will manage a small team and play a key role in communicating financial insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Build and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and overall P&L performance.
  • Analyze financial results and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Monitor budgets and spending to ensure alignment with company profitability goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve margins through expense control and operational efficiency.

Accounting, Compliance & Tax

  • Oversee preparation and filing of business tax returns in India.
  • Ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Maintain proper documentation and financial reporting standards.

Payments & Payroll Oversight

  • Supervise the processing of company payments and payroll operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment cycles while maintaining strong financial controls.
  • Improve processes related to financial operations and transaction management.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor a team of three finance professionals.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure clear ownership of responsibilities.
  • Set measurable performance targets and monitor progress.
  • Develop talent within the team through coaching and structured feedback.

Process Improvement

  • Analyze existing financial processes and identify opportunities for automation or improvement.
  • Implement best practices to improve accuracy, efficiency, and financial visibility.

Executive Communication

  • Translate financial data into clear insights for executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Present forecasts, financial trends, and risk areas to leadership in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial planning & analysis.
  • Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills, particularly P&L forecasting.
  • Experience managing or leading a small team.
  • Experience preparing and filing business tax returns in India.
  • Strong analytical thinking and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience overseeing payments and payroll processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both team members and executives.
  • Proven ability to improve financial processes and drive operational efficiency.

Working Hours

  • This role requires work hours that overlap with the morning hours of the Atlanta (U.S.) time zone to support collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams.
