Lead UI/UX Designer – Global Brand & Web Experience (Founding Role)
Location: Bangalore
Type: Full-Time
Experience: 6–10+ years
Reporting to: Product / Marketing Leadership
Tools: Figma (Advanced), Adobe CC; familiarity with 3D & motion tools (Spline, Blender, Rive, Lottie) is a strong plus
⸻
The Mission
T57 is building a world-class digital presence to introduce its AI-native food security and global trade ecosystem across 70+ countries.
We are creating a 150+ page, content-rich, narrative-driven marketing platform that combines:
• The intellectual authority and editorial depth of global consultancies (think McKinsey-style microsites), and
• The immersive, cinematic storytelling of advanced WebGL experiences (interactive 3D, scroll-triggered narratives, motion-led storytelling).
This is not a product UI role.
This is a founding design leadership role to architect how governments, enterprises, and institutional partners first experience T57.
You will design persuasion, clarity, and trust at scale.
⸻
What You Will Own
1) Global Web Experience & Visual Direction
• Define and own the visual and interaction direction for T57’s public-facing website and microsites.
• Lead the art direction for immersive experiences (e.g., interactive 3D globe, narrative scrollytelling, motion-led storytelling).
• Ensure premium aesthetics while maintaining strict performance budgets across devices and geographies.
• Translate complex concepts in food systems, trade, logistics, and digital infrastructure into clear, compelling visual narratives.
⸻
2) Information Architecture & Microsite Framework
• Own the information architecture for a 150+ page platform spanning industries, geographies, and solutions.
• Design scalable navigation models, page archetypes, and microsite frameworks (e.g., industries, countries, use cases).
• Partner with content and leadership teams to structure complex narratives into coherent, discoverable user journeys.
• Ensure the platform can scale without UX debt as new markets, sectors, and content are added.
⸻
3) Global Design System & Content Framework
• Architect and govern the Global Web Design System: components, design tokens, typography, grid systems, responsive behaviors, and content templates.
• Build modular CMS-ready blocks (“slices”) in Figma that engineering can translate into Strapi modules.
• Maintain consistency and quality across 150+ pages and future microsites while allowing flexibility for storytelling.
• Own documentation, versioning, and long-term evolution of the web design system.
⸻
4) Editorial Design & Marketing Data Visualization
• Design editorial layouts for long-form content (reports, whitepapers, insights, case studies) that are elegant, readable, and conversion-aware.
• Create high-fidelity infographics and interactive diagrams to explain abstract concepts such as smart contracts, halal logistics, and digital trade flows.
• Design public-facing market widgets and data visuals that feel native to the T57 brand.
⸻
5) Performance, Accessibility & SEO by Design
• Define performance budgets for motion, media, and WebGL-heavy pages (LCP, CLS, TTI targets).
• Design reduced-motion, low-bandwidth, and graceful fallback experiences.
• Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility across typography, contrast, navigation, and motion.
• Collaborate with content and growth teams to ensure layouts support SEO and discoverability, not just aesthetics.
⸻
6) Conversion, Trust & B2G/B2B Experience
• Design high-trust landing pages for governments, enterprises, and institutional buyers.
• Architect “Trust Centers,” credibility signals, and authority-driven narratives (certifications, partners, compliance).
• Optimize lead journeys for high-value actions: Contact Sales, Request Demo, Partner With Us.
• Continuously refine conversion flows based on qualitative and quantitative feedback.
⸻
7) End-to-End Design Ownership
• Own the full lifecycle: discovery → IA → wireframes → UI → interaction concepts → dev handoff → QA → iteration.
• Define design quality standards, review rituals, and acceptance criteria for all public-facing web experiences.
• Act as the final design authority for the marketing platform in close collaboration with engineering and leadership.
⸻
Required Experience & Skills
• 6–10+ years designing premium web experiences for global brands, platforms, or leading agencies.
• Strong background in brand-led, content-heavy, marketing websites (agency experience highly preferred over pure SaaS dashboard work).
• Deep mastery of Figma (Auto Layout, Components, Variables, Libraries) to manage large-scale systems.
• Strong editorial design sensibility: typography, whitespace, grids, long-form readability.
• Proven experience shipping interactive marketing sites with motion, scroll-based narratives, parallax, or 3D/WebGL elements.
• Strong understanding of web performance constraints and mobile-first design.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with front-end teams (Next.js, Tailwind, modern web stacks).
⸻
Preferred (Bonus) Skills
• Ability to create or prototype lightweight 3D assets (Spline, Blender).
• Motion design experience (After Effects, Rive, Lottie, Framer, ProtoPie).
• Experience working with CMS-driven websites (Strapi, Contentful, Sanity).
• Prior exposure to global or multilingual websites (including RTL layouts).
⸻
Portfolio Requirements
Please share a portfolio with:
• At least one shipped, public-facing marketing website (URL required).
• A case study demonstrating interactive or narrative-driven web storytelling.
• Examples of content-heavy layouts (articles, reports, microsites) with strong editorial design.
• Evidence of design system thinking (components, templates, scalable frameworks).
We are less interested in UI kits and more interested in systems, storytelling, and shipped outcomes.
⸻
Growth Path
This role is expected to evolve into Head of Web Experience / Brand Design as T57 scales globally.
You will have the opportunity to shape the web design culture and build a small, high-caliber in-house design team over time.
