Limited X-Ray Machine Operator (LXMO)

Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated Limited X-Ray Machine Operator (LXMO) to join our team. This role is essential in performing routine diagnostic radiographic procedures according to established safety regulations and protocols. The LXMO will facilitate patient care by providing clear and accurate imaging to support effective diagnosis and treatments in our state-of-the-art facilities spread across multiple states.

Operate x-ray and imaging equipment to capture images as per the doctor's orders. Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, explaining processes to alleviate anxieties.

Adjust, maintain, and sterilize x-ray equipment and instruments. Follow precise instructions regarding the areas of the body requiring imaging. Position imaging equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination.

Work closely with radiologists to determine the need for retakes and ensure quality of images. Maintain record of radiographic procedures completed and provide detailed reports. Proficiency with radiographic equipment, including maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and radiologists. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely. Capability to manage time effectively and handle a high volume of patient work.

Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. Valid state license to practice radiographic procedures as an LXMO.
