Senior Engineering Manager – Corporate Engineering (Canada) This role offers the opportunity to lead and shape the future of corporate engineering in a fully remote, high-velocity environment. You will manage a technical team responsible for IT operations, internal tools, corporate security, and automation platforms that empower employees to work efficiently and safely. Your leadership will drive the adoption of AI-enabled systems, improve operational workflows, and provide scalable platforms for internal stakeholders.
You will combine technical expertise with strategic thinking to enable experimentation, maintain security standards, and optimize internal processes. This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about enabling innovation, building robust systems, and fostering a culture of autonomy and collaboration. Accountabilities: Lead a global corporate engineering team covering IT operations, internal tooling, employee device lifecycle, helpdesk support, and security initiatives Develop and implement internal AI strategies, automation workflows, and platforms that enable employees to build and manage their own tools Oversee corporate security policies, compliance checks, and risk management with a focus on enablement rather than control Manage relationships and contracting with core SaaS vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and continuous process improvement Collaborate with other engineering, security, and product teams to integrate systems and leverage observability tooling to solve corporate challenges Mentor, coach, and provide continuous feedback to ensure team growth, engagement, and high performance Contribute to design reviews, participate in on‑call rotations, and maintain hands‑on engagement with technical projects Requirements: Proven experience managing and leading software engineering or IT operations teams in a technology‑driven organization Strong engineering acumen, with experience in cloud platforms, Kubernetes, or equivalent infrastructure Deep hands‑on experience with corporate IT systems, including operating systems, SSO, MDM, EDR/DLP, SaaS platforms, AI providers, and employee hardware management Expertise in applying DevOps principles to corporate engineering and security, emphasizing automation, enablement, and scalable platforms Knowledge of current AI technologies and strategies for safe enterprise deployment, with experience integrating AI into workflows Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide a high‑performing, remote team Ability to work in an EST‑oriented timezone, collaborating across global teams Benefits: Competitive base salary: CAD $211,000 – $264,000, plus potential equity and bonus opportunities 100% remote work with a global, collaborative culture Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision benefits Generous annual leave policy (30 days per year, including company shutdown days) Professional development opportunities, including courses, conferences, and career growth pathways Transparent and approachable leadership with a culture of trust, autonomy, and innovation Participation in cutting‑edge internal AI initiatives and automation strategies Access to open‑source projects and community‑driven collaboration #J-18808-Ljbffr
