Issa is a Luxury apparel brand based out of Hyderabad, India. At Issa, we design, make, and sell women's apparel targeting the new-age Indian woman.

Our clothing lines include Indo western couture, Bridal Ensembles, and Pret. Strong value-driven philosophy coupled with impeccable design aesthetic and robust production standards makes us what we are today. 

We keep our designs contemporary while trying to keep the elements and silhouettes as ethnic as possible.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Fashion Designer to lead design initiatives and drive creative direction at our studio. If you're passionate about creating statement pieces, have a deep understanding of fashion aesthetics, and are ready to mentor junior talent while shaping collections that resonate with a global audience — we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process: from concept creation and sketching to final sampling and production.
• Forecast trends and translate them into cohesive seasonal collections aligned with the brand identity.
• Innovate with fabrics, silhouettes, surface techniques, and detailing to create standout designs.
• Oversee fittings, quality checks, and finishing details to ensure every piece meets high standards.
• Collaborate with merchandisers, production teams, and marketing for successful launches.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, interns, and sampling teams.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences.
• Represent the brand at fashion shows, exhibitions, and client interactions when required.

Requirements

• Degree in Fashion Design or related field from a reputed institute.
• 4+ years of experience in fashion/apparel design, preferably in women's ethnic, fusion, or contemporary wear.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating original design thinking, technical skills, and successful collections.
• Expertise in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), CorelDRAW, and garment construction.
• Deep knowledge of textiles, embroidery techniques, and finishes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Creative vision combined with a commercially aware mindset.
