Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and evolve an internal developer platform that enables self-service infrastructure, streamlined deployments, and enhanced developer experience .

This role focuses on building scalable platform capabilities using modern cloud-native technologies and improving developer productivity through automation and standardization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop internal developer platforms (IDP) to enable self-service infrastructure and deployments
• Build, manage, and optimize Kubernetes-based environments in cloud ecosystems
• Work extensively with Azure platform services , including networking, identity, and Key Vault
• Implement and manage Backstage-based internal developer portals :
• Software Catalog
• Scaffolder
• TechDocs
• Extend and integrate Backstage plugins for:
• Service onboarding
• CI/CD automation
• Governance workflows
• Develop abstraction layers using Crossplane and cloud-native control planes
• Build reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules using Terraform / Bicep
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and golden path templates using GitHub Actions
• Embed security, compliance, observability, and governance into platform solutions
• Collaborate with engineering teams to drive adoption and improve developer experience
• Troubleshoot platform issues and continuously enhance platform capabilities

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (design, deployment, operations)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure (Networking, Identity, Key Vault, provisioning tools)
• Hands-on experience with Backstage (setup, customization, plugin integration)
• Knowledge of Backstage plugins and automation workflows
• Experience with Crossplane for platform abstraction and control planes
• Expertise in Terraform and/or Bicep for infrastructure automation
• Strong experience in CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Solid understanding of Platform Engineering concepts :
• Platform as a Product
• Team Topologies
• Experience integrating security, governance, and observability into platforms
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams
