Senior User Experience Designer

Senior UX/UI Designer to champion user-centered design for our designated projects. You will be instrumental in crafting intuitive, engaging, and visually captivating digital experiences that prioritize user ease and drive impactful results.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of and drive the User Experience Design and User Interface Design for assigned projects, ensuring a seamless and delightful user journey.
• Act as a strong advocate for User Experience/User Interface design best practices, effectively communicating the design vision and rationale to project stakeholders.
• Lead and facilitate stakeholder and user interviews to deeply understand business challenges and user requirements. Conduct engaging whiteboarding sessions to foster creative problem-solving and generate innovative ideas.
• Plan and execute user research activities, including user interviews, and synthesize findings to develop insightful user personas, journey maps, site maps, and information architecture diagrams.
• Translate user insights and business goals into clear and effective user flows, task analysis matrices, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes that vividly illustrate the product vision.
• Strictly adhere to and expertly apply our Tax Design System standards across all mockups to ensure consistency, coherence, and brand alignment.
• Proactively explore and identify opportunities to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the UX/UI workflow to enhance design processes and user experiences.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in designing and delivering intuitive, engaging, and visually captivating websites or applications with a strong focus on user-centered design principles.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to articulate design direction, vision, and rationale clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
• A profound understanding of web accessibility best practices (WCAG guidelines) and a commitment to creating inclusive digital experiences for all users.
• High proficiency in industry-standard design and collaboration tools, including Figma, FigJam, Mural, Miro, and Microsoft Office 365 suite.
• A solid understanding of backend development languages and concepts, enabling effective communication and collaboration with development teams.
• A portfolio showcasing a strong understanding of UX/UI principles, design processes, and successful project outcomes.

Bonus Points:

• Experience working within the tax or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
